Sanaz Haeri

My practice is built on the intersection of visual art, narrative, and material experimentation. Working across painting, printmaking, artist books, comics, and sculpture, I develop long-term projects in which each medium becomes an extension of the same evolving investigation.
Drawing from Persian mythology, contemporary social concerns, and questions of identity and transformation, I reinterpret symbolic figures and hybrid bodies to explore themes of power, vulnerability, and the boundaries between human, animal, and imagined forms.
What distinguishes my approach is the combination of storytelling, historical references, and experimental materials. Rather than treating techniques as separate disciplines, I allow painting, sculpture, and writing to inform one another, creating visual worlds where ancient symbols can be reconsidered through a contemporary perspective.
